Nutritional therapy is simply using food and diet to heal. As Hippocrates allegedly said, “let food be thy medicine”. An important aspect to nutritional therapy is the concept of bio-individuality; we are all different and while some nutritional principles apply to many or most people, there is also a ton of nuance. Every body and every person is different, so a unique approach is imperative to helping you get better and thrive.
Nutritional therapy is about giving you the tools necessary to tap into your body’s ability to improve symptoms through food and lifestyle.
We will initially meet to go over all of your intake paperwork. I will ask questions to learn more about you and your health goals. This will also be a great time for you to voice your health concerns and ask me questions. After that, I will provide my initial set of recommendations and go at the pace that will mean the most success for you. This means checking in and providing more recommendations throughout our time together. Please keep in mind that I work WITH you to provide recommendations that will actually work for you and your lifestyle.
Not necessarily! Keep in mind that nutritional therapy is all about changing what you are currently doing in order to get the results you want. So sometimes that will mean giving up certain VERSIONS of foods you are eating – let’s work together to implement swaps of certain foods for ones that are more beneficial to your health and goals.
One reason you may have to actually give up certain foods, at least temporarily, is to address food sensitivities. Food sensitivities mean your gut needs a chance to heal and it can’t do that if you are still eating the foods that trigger a reaction in your body. But don’t worry – I can help you with this process!
I love helping people improve their fertility by reducing inflammation and supporting your hormones. I also love helping people address gut issues that will improve their seasonal allergies or other digestive complaints. You might be surprised to learn that allergies start in the gut – addressing food sensitivities and your body’s digestive processes can improve your allergy symptoms.
Nutritional therapy is right for you if you are ready to invest in your own health and feel better. You will work with me to implement diet and lifestyle strategies to address your symptoms. Change can be hard – work with me if you are ready to make the necessary changes to improve your health.
I offer both options! Online calls are conducted on Zoom so we can see each other’s faces in a calm and confidential setting. In-person meetings take place in Exeter, Ca.
No – unfortunately, insurances don’t typically cover nutritional therapy services. But please keep in mind that you are investing in yourself. Your investment now cuts down on future healthcare costs. And remember, the cost of working with me is not much more than some people’s daily Starbucks habit!
Yes, I do offer AfterPay. You will see this option when you pay the invoice I email you.
